my career in journalism has been driven by a conviction that we need to be telling more stories for and about people who have been historically underrepresented in mainstream media. that means i’m always seeking to elevate voices and perspectives we haven’t yet heard, and i’m grateful to be able to do so in my role as a leader in newsrooms.

i joined POPSUGAR as director of special content in 2022, and have since been promoted to senior director of features and special content — meaning i oversee and edit tentpole projects and features, as well as our identity content. previously, i edited the gender & identity section within the features department at the washington post, leading a team of writers, editors, designers and photo editors to create impactful journalism that elevates diverse voices. my title before that was deputy editor of the lily, the washington post’s platform for millennial women; i led the emergence of that product into the larger newsroom.

i joined the post in 2018 as a multiplatform editor for the lily. previously, i was a politics editorial fellow at the atlantic. during my college years, i was a magazine chair for the 143rd guard of the harvard crimson, which meant i led a group of 20+ writers and editors in producing the crimson's weekly magazine, fifteen minutes. i was also a features intern at instyle magazine via the american society of magazine editors' internship program.

i’m currently a mentor for rosa rebellion’s compose storytelling incubator for women of color, and i took part in poynter’s leadership academy for women in media in 2021.
